A long conversation.

The Berlin Scrambler started with a clean Triumph Scrambler 1200 X — Icon Edition, one of a small run from Triumph Berlin Nord. Rather than tear the bike apart, the brief was the opposite: keep the donor as honest as it left the factory, and use a handful of considered moves to make it sit, sound, and ride like a one of one.

Every significant upgrade — exhaust, fork internals, brake line — was installed by Triumph Berlin Nord for correct fitment and a properly documented build. The tank strap was removed and welded shut, then the whole body resprayed in a single bespoke gunmetal grey metallic. No other example wears this finish.

Mass Mohave's Euro 5+ stainless system replaces the factory cans, road-legal with E-number. Andreani's Rally Race +30 mm cartridge kit lifts the front and sharpens the geometry. JvB-moto carbon-style front fender, Wunderkind 2Stripes levers, Rizoma CT027 reservoir, Unit Garage Traveler crash bars, motogadget mo.blaze front and mo.rear at the back, Classic Raisch tail tidy, and a fresh set of Mitas Enduro Trail+ rubber for the way it gets used.

It is the first MOTOHIRSCH machine. Quietly modified, mechanically standard, and finished to a level the factory does not offer at any price.

What was done.

Each move was made for a reason, not for a look. The list below is the complete record of what changed between the donor leaving the dealer and the bike being placed.

  • Unique
    Bespoke gunmetal grey metallic respray

Tank strap removed and welded shut for a seamless profile, then fully resprayed in gunmetal grey metallic. A genuinely one-of-a-kind finish — no other example like it.

  • Upgrade
Mass Mohave exhaust — Euro 5+ street legal

Mass Mohave complete stainless system, handmade in Italy. Street-legal Euro 5+ version with catalytic converter and E-number, made specifically for 2024+ Scramblers. Twin short silencers, slash cut, removable DB killers, meaningful weight saving over the factory system.

  • Upgrade
Andreani Rally Race fork cartridge kit — +30 mm

Andreani Group Rally Race cartridge kit (125/T03H), the +30 mm version made specifically for the Scrambler 1200 X with Marzocchi 45 forks. Fully adjustable compression, rebound and preload via the upper caps, springs supplied calibrated to rider weight.

  • Upgrade
JvB-moto front fender & fork protectors

JvB-moto Scrambler-style front fender in ABS (JVB0081) with aluminium mounting bracket and matching fork protectors. The signature JvB look, designed for the Scrambler 1200.

  • Modified
    Reworked front brake line

Front brake line fully replaced with a new original Scrambler 1200 XC line, removing the factory bridge between the front discs. Frees the area so the next owner can swap front fenders freely.

  • Modified
    Crafton seat

Aftermarket Crafton seat fitted, replacing the standard unit.

  • Modified
Wunderkind 2Stripes brake & clutch levers

CNC-milled high-strength aluminium, BlackPearl Eloxal anodised, with the signature engraved contrast stripes. Six-step reach adjustment, full compatibility with the bike's assistance functions. Made in Germany, ABE-approved.

  • Modified
    Rizoma CT027 brake fluid reservoir

Machined billet aluminium, 25 cm³, integrated sight glass, mounted via the dedicated Rizoma CT450 bracket. Replaces the standard plastic reservoir with an Italian-made CNC piece that ties in cleanly with the Wunderkind levers.

  • Upgrade
Unit Garage Traveler engine protection bars

Unit Garage Traveler crash bars (3144). A pair of steel bars with high-resistance powder paint, pivoted to the frame at two points and joined across the front. Shields the lower engine area while integrating cleanly with the silhouette.

  • Upgrade
Mitas Enduro Trail+ tyres — brand new

Fresh set front and rear. A well-regarded 50/50 on/off-road adventure tyre, chosen by KTM as OEM on the 890 Adventure R and the new 390 Adventure R. Effectively zero wear.

  • Modified
    motogadget mo.blaze tens front indicators

Among the smallest surface-mounted indicators in the world. CNC aluminium, IntensiLED® for high brightness, IP69 waterproof, ECE approved. They almost disappear visually until they light up.

  • Modified
Classic Raisch tail tidy + motogadget mo.rear

Classic Raisch tail tidy kit paired with the motogadget mo.rear — an ultra-compact ECE-approved all-in-one combining rear light, brake light, indicators, plate illumination and reflector in a single strip. Stripped-back, fully road-legal rear.

  • Modified
    Classic Raisch cosmetic detailing

Multiple further Classic Raisch upgrades fitted across smaller cosmetic components, refining the detailing throughout the bike.
